Quasimorph Guides Hub

Turn-based extraction tactics from your first clone to late-game storylines

Quasimorph Guides Hub

Quasimorph is a turn-based extraction RPG on Steam from Magnum Scriptum and HypeTrain Digital. Version 1.0 launched on July 31, 2026 after Early Access that began October 2, 2023. Every mission follows the same contract: deploy from the Magnum, loot hostile stations, and extract before your clone dies. Die and you lose everything carried on that run. Survive and your haul feeds the ship, your classes, and the five major storylines that now drive the full release.

This hub collects practical guides written for players who want fewer preventable deaths and cleaner extractions. Whether you are picking up the game on launch week or returning after Early Access, start with the fundamentals before you chase rare Class Chips or late-story endings.

Where to begin

If Quasimorph is your first extraction RPG, read Getting Started with Quasimorph. It explains the Magnum ship loop, clone permadeath on missions, starter classes Scouts of Hades and Eclipse Blades, and why Mars, Phobos, and Deimos are the safest early destinations because they have no Quasimorphosis.

Right after the tutorial, follow First Contract Guide for Percy or Kenzie loadouts, the opening Conveyor, a safe Mars extract, and the Magnum reset that keeps the economy alive. For the full extract-or-lose-loot rules after Patch 1.0.2, read Safe Extraction Guide.

Once you understand the mission contract, study Combat Stances in Quasimorph. Sneak, Walk, and Sprint define action point costs, accuracy, inventory access, and whether you can open doors. Most beginner deaths trace back to ending a turn while peeking a door on your last action point or sprinting into a room you have not scouted.

Combat and survival depth

Room Clearing Tactics walks through door discipline, enemy examination, and how to clear sectors without wasting turns. Pair it with Quasimorphosis Survival Guide when you leave the beginner moons and face the horror mechanic that reshapes stations mid-mission.

Between runs, economy matters as much as gunplay. Bartering on the Magnum covers station reputation, barter points, and why letting reputation drop below zero wipes your trading options until you recover standing.

The July 31, 2026 Trade Shuttle rework adds a second commerce layer beside terminal barter. Trade Shuttle Guide explains three modes — barter by desired item type, reputation sell, and proxy cargo transportation — plus when shuttle dumps beat station trades and why non-required items sell at reduced price. Stock Exchange Guide covers supply-and-demand prices, faction credit versus barter tabs, Fast Trading, and the reputation band near 25–30 for direct purchase rows.

Before you start a fresh 1.0 campaign, read Difficulty Settings in Quasimorph. Easy, Normal, and Unfair presets — plus Customize sliders — change enemy vision, crafting unlocks, extract rules, and starting operators. Mission skull ratings alone do not tell the whole story. Patch 1.0.1 refined the difficulty selection screen — details on Patch 1.0.1 Notes.

Magnum spending order

Lore and department overview lives on the World hub. For what to upgrade this week, read Magnum Upgrades Guide — Navigation and Scanner/Monitoring early, Supply and Engineering mid, Hangar Capsule and Shuttle delivery rows, Cloning recovery tempo, Pact department exchanges, and late Class Chip costs without re-reading the full ship essay.

Contracts, loot, and medicine

Most preventable wipes start on the mission board, not in the first doorway. Choosing Contracts in Quasimorph teaches beneficiary versus victim, travel versus time remaining, floors, station type, and Power Concentration before you trust the Reward column. Loot Priority Guide ranks mission items, Class Chips, Magnum bottlenecks, and meds so the backpack dies less often with the clone. Wounds and Medicine covers bleeding, pain stuns, infection, and abort thresholds after contact.

Patch 1.0.1 clarified mission briefing UI — skull display versus Solar System map difficulty, mission prep beneficiary controls, and station tooltips for accepted goods on the Stock Exchange Guide. See Patch 1.0.1 Notes alongside Hotfixes for 1.0.561 / 1.0.562 graphics fixes.

Patch 1.0.1 also reworked Magnum and mission inventory with cargo tabs and category filters that separate weapons, augments, meds, and barter goods. Read the Inventory Management Guide for tab layout, Ctrl/Shift transfer hotkeys, and post-extract sorting that pairs with Loot Priority Guide. Patch 1.0.2 added a sort button on clone, floor, container, and trade windows plus Cryochamber perishable filters — same inventory page, plus Patch 1.0.2 Notes. Patrol and Investigating habits live in the Enemy AI Guide.

Midgame and horror combat

When Mars and Phobos stop teaching you enough, read Quasimorph Midgame Combat Guide. It covers resistance examination, dual damage typing, doorway kiting, sprint peek-shoot, weight and dodge tradeoffs, when to stop Sneak-exploring, the hard mission skull myth, and throwing weapons with operator damage in version 1.0.

Horror escalation demands its own boss playbook. How to Beat Baron in Quasimorph explains Quasimorphosis meter management, community consumable notes for vodka and morphine, evacuating before the 1000 threshold, fighting after Rapture locks extract, and earning S.K.U.L.L. pact rewards. Pair it with Quasimorphosis in Quasimorph and Pacts and S.K.U.L.L. Project from the World hub.

For pirate endurance story beats after midgame certification, jump to Unchained Belt. For magazine typing, open Ammo Types.

Quasimorph rewards patience. A slow Sneak clear that extracts with full inventory beats a heroic sprint that ends in a lost clone and zero loot. Use these guides as a checklist until the habits feel automatic, then push into class builds and story content with confidence.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Which Quasimorph guide should I read first?

Start with Getting Started. It covers the Magnum ship, clone deaths, loot retention, and the Mars/Phobos/Deimos beginner zone before you touch combat stances or Quasimorphosis.

Do these guides cover the 1.0 storylines?

This hub focuses on core gameplay systems. For Civil Resistance, Tezctlan, Xiomara, AnCom, and RealWare routes, use the Walkthrough hub after you understand extraction basics.

Are Quasimorph guides updated for the full Steam release?

Yes. Content reflects the July 31, 2026 version 1.0 launch, including five storylines, nine endings, and current stance and barter rules from Magnum Scriptum.

Why is Quasimorphosis in its own guide?

Mars, Phobos, and Deimos have no Quasimorphosis, so beginners can skip that guide until they leave those moons. Once you do, the survival guide becomes essential.

Can I use guides without reading classes or controls pages?

Guides stand alone, but pairing them with the Classes hub and Controls reference speeds up loadout decisions and turn execution during missions.

What changed in Quasimorph inventory after 1.0.1?

Patch 1.0.1 added cargo tabs, category filters, and Ctrl/Shift transfer hotkeys. Patch 1.0.2 added a sort button on every window and Cryochamber perishable filters. See Inventory Management and Patch 1.0.2 Notes.
